I didn't really think that spraying nickel onto a mating surface was a mistake someone would make. People think "Oh well those ends are powdercoated/anodized all the time", but the truth is that those processes aren't susceptible to this problem. I mean, the standard calls for exactly 37* angle, you think there's room for screwin up?? Lol! ps, Besides the PCV hoses, I would also suggest pickin up the brake booster and clutch booster vac hoses that attach to the plenum,... both mine cracked and they're notoriously brittle.
Oh, and that back PCV hose? I'd leave it alone unless you're pulling off the exhaust valve covers.
